Woman in critical condition after being struck by car in Ogden, police say

SALT LAKE CITY — A woman is in critical condition after police say a car struck her at a crosswalk near Harrison Blvd in Ogden.
Just before 8 p.m., officers responded to a report of an auto-pedestrian accident near 2400 Harrison Blvd.
According to Lt. John Cox with the Ogden Police Department, a 50-year-old male was driving a white 2021 Nissan Rogue, traveling eastbound down 24th St. He struck a pedestrian at a crosswalk while slowly turning southbound on Harrison Blvd.
The pedestrian, a 73-year-old female, ended up on his hood and fell when he stopped. She went unconscious after the car struck her head.
Police said she’s been transported to a local hospital, where she’s been sedated and intubated.
According to Cox, early indications show that alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
