1 dead after crash on Redwood Road in West Jordan, police say

SALT LAKE CITY — One person is dead after a two-car crash in West Jordan on Tuesday night.

According to Officer Aleya Mason with the West Jordan Police Department, the crash happened near 6600 S Redwood Road at approximately 8:38 p.m.

Police said one of the involved cars was occupied by three people who all sustained minor injuries. The other car had a single occupant who was transported to the hospital in critical condition and later declared deceased.

The victim was later identified by the West Jordan Police Department as 66-year-old Lisa McGeary.

Redwood Road was closed both northbound and southbound from 6200 South to 6700 South while the interagency traffic crash team investigated.

Police said investigators were trying to determine whether impairment was a factor in the crash.
