SALT LAKE CITY — McDonalds is making changes to its burger recipe, and according to the fast food chain, the changes, “make [the] classic burgers even better.”
Today, McDonalds announced the menu items receiving the changes; Big Mac® sandwich, McDouble® burger and our classic Cheeseburger, Double Cheeseburger and Hamburger.
Changes include softer buns, more onions in the patties and even more big-mac sauce.
“I’ll always remember my first burger from McDonald’s,” said Chef Chad Schafer, Senior Director of Culinary Innovation, McDonald’s USA in a press release. “And now my culinary team and I have the best job in the world: thinking about ways to bring even more of that iconic McDonald’s taste to fans.”
“We found that small changes, like tweaking our process to get hotter, meltier cheese and adjusting our grill settings for a better sear, added up to a big difference in making our burgers more flavorful than ever,” said Schafer.
Contextually, trials on the new burgers have been successful in Australia, Canada and Belgium. Now, according to McDonalds, the new recipe is rolling out in several cities along the West Coast.
However, McDonalds said customers will be able to taste the new recipe at all restaurants nationwide by 2024.
