Win a UTA pass, art supplies and gift cards in student art competition

SALT LAKE CITY — For the second year, Utah Transit Authority will be hosting “My BeUTAHful” art competition.
From now until March 20, students k-12 may submit their original art following the theme “Imagine + Lead + Change”. Keeping with the theme, artists should “highlight the future they hope to see in their neighborhoods and emphasize the diversity and beauty of their communities.”
The purpose of the competition according to the UTA team is to give young people throughout Utah an opportunity for self-expression through the creation of original public art.
Winning your age group
Judging will be split into four different groups.
- Kindergarten through second grade
- Third-grade through sixth grade
- Seventh grade through ninth grade
- Tenth grade through twelfth grade
Utah will select three winners in each age group for a total of 12 winners. Each winner will receive a $100 dollar gift cars and a free UTA pass to use this summer.
Not only will student win, but the teachers of the winning students will also receive a $100 gift card for classroom supplies.
The 12 winning pieces will also be displayed on UTA buses and trains. And, according to UTA, displayed inside buses from other transit agencies, in public parks, and at the 2023 Utah Arts Festival.
