About
A self-proclaimed politics and news junkie, Andy Cupp comes to KSL NewsRadio after several years working in marketing and journalism. He got his start as a TV news producer at Utah’s FOX affiliate. After a few years there, he left the industry and moved into marketing for educational institutions around the world.
Eventually, his heart was drawn back into journalism, and he joined the NewsRadio team in April 2024. He’s produced multiple political talk shows, including KSL at Night and Inside Sources. He’s also been instrumental in election day coverage for KSL NewsRadio. Occasionally, you can hear him on-air reporting on political stories or co-hosting one of the talk shows. His current role is Executive Producer of Midday with Maria Shilaos.
In his spare time, Andy’s playing with his two beagles, trying out new gluten-free baked goods, or working in his garden. He and his partner live in the Rose Park neighborhood of Salt Lake City.
He is a graduate of Brigham Young University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a journalism emphasis, as well as a minor in sociology.
