SALT LAKE CITY — If you haven’t already, it’s not too late to register to vote.

The deadline for online voter registrations was Oct. 25However, if you missed that date, you can still make your voice heard in this election.

State Director of Elections Ryan Cowley said Utahns can register to vote in person at the polls today, but they must bring a few additional forms of identification.

“If you go in to register in person and vote, then you’ll need to take with you a form of ID and proof of residency,” Cowley said. “Your driver’s license would work if it has both. If not, take in … something that shows who you are, like a driver’s license. If it has the wrong address, then take a utility bill or something like that.”

For those who register and vote in person on election day, your ballot will be considered provisional. Once your registration is confirmed, then it will be counted.

You can also check the status of your registration before you head to the polls. Visit votesearch.utah.gov for more information.

Remember, polls close Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m.
