Richard and Carol Lyman drop out of governor race after lawsuit filed by Phil Lyman

SALT LAKE CITY — Phil Lyman, a write-in candidate for Utah governor, has sued Richard and Carol Lyman. In the suit, he cites their name similarities as well as the couple being write-in candidates.
The Utah Lt. Governor’s Office has also confirmed that Richard and Carol Lyman have dropped out of the race for Utah governor.
Richard and Carol Lyman released an official statement in response to the lawsuit.
BREAKING UPDATE: Carol and Richard Lyman confirm they are dropping out of the governor’s race but say unequivocally, “we did nothing wrong and broke no laws.”
They call @phil_lyman‘s lawsuit against them frivolous and say they are being forced out “by deeper packets.”
