New survey finds that energy costs drove Utahns back into the office

SALT LAKE CITY — According to a new survey, a third of Utahns reported that high air conditioning costs were driving them away from their work-from-home setups and back into the office.
The survey, conducted by CouponBirds, found that the attempt to save money drove workers back into the office over the summer.
Utah had a record-breaking summer this year, even bringing high temperatures into the fall.
36% percent of workers surveyed cited rising energy costs for air conditioning, internet and printing costs. And those costs, on top of groceries and other home necessities, deterred workers from working from home.
The survey also found that a lot of workers are budgeting for what their heat bill might look like, too.
