Driver passes out, crashes into plumbing building in Ogden

OGDEN, Utah — A Jeep driver was traveling with a passenger through the parking lot of Weber Human Services on Tuesday afternoon when police said he experienced a medical issue and lost consciousness.
Then, his foot dropped down and stayed on the accelerator.
The Jeep began moving at a high rate of speed, but police said the passenger was able to steer through the parking lot, then across Lincoln Avenue and into Hoskins Plumbing & Heating.
Both driver and passenger suffered minor injuries. The building sustained major damage.
At publication, the Ogden and Weber Fire departments were working to secure the building in order to extract the vehicle.
