Mohave County Sheriff’s Office: 1971 cold case victim still unidentified

MOHAVE COUNTY, Arizona — The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Unit is asking for help from the public in identifying a woman killed by homicide in 1971. 

The victim was found two miles east of US Hwy 93 on Hackberry Road.

She was located inside of a white canvas sack, labeled “Deer-Pak Ames Harris Neville Co.” in green writing, that was tied up with a white rope.

The victim was described as being 40 years old, 5 feet 4 inches, and 125-140 pounds with curly brown hair. She was wearing a size 14 multi-colored long sleeve top, a black long-sleeved cardigan, and size 12 burnt orange stretch pants tagged “Symphony, It’s what’s happening” inside. She had on ankle high black leather boots and bobby sox, that were likely white at one point. The woman wasn’t wearing jewelry.
