WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — An ATM machine was stolen out of a Maverick in West Valley City early Tuesday morning.
Police were called at 3:56 a.m. to the Maverick at 5969 West and 4100 S. Police said the suspects were in a 2000s silver Ford F-150.
According to Sgt. Steinbrecher with the West Valley City Police Department, the truck had backed into the door/window area of the structure. Then the ATM inside was stolen. There were no injuries and no structural damage to the building beyond the door/window area.
“The Maverick was actually open for business and there was an employee inside. He did call 911 and gave us the information on that,” said Steinbrecher.
Police are still looking for the suspect vehicle and believe there are two suspects involved in this incident.
This is a breaking story and will be updated as information becomes available.
