HOLLADAY, Utah — Many Holladay residents woke up to their Pride flags missing from their yards. Some residents even saw the thefts on their doorbell camera apps.
Holladay City made the announcement on its Facebook Thursday.
Sgt Melody Cutler with the Unified Police Department shares how the three teens responsible were found.
“We had an officer make a traffic and she noticed that there were multiple Pride flags in this vehicle and started questioning the people,” Cutler says.
According to Cutler, the three juveniles were not taken into custody, an officer took their names and sent them on their way. Charges have been referred to juvenile court. Cutler said that they thought what they were doing was funny.
All but three flags have been returned to their owners.
