Woman dead after Taylorsville car accident Saturday

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — A woman is dead after being ejected from her vehicle in Taylorsville Saturday night.
According to the Taylorsville Police Department, Michelle Romero, 30, was driving eastbound in the area of 2881 W. 4700 South. Police said in a press release that Romero’s car drifted into the westbound lane and into oncoming traffic. How this happened has not been released at this time.
After her car drifted, Romaro collided with an SUV heading westbound. Following the collision, Romero was ejected from her vehicle.
Life-saving measures were provided to Romero at the scene before she was transferred to an area hospital. She later died from her injuries.
Police said the driver of the SUV received minor injuries from the accident and a child in the SUV was not injured.
The Taylorsville Police Department is currently investigating the accident.
