Dance to be held at South Valley School for students with special needs

WEST JORDAN, Utah — Tonight at 6 p.m., South Valley School in West Jordan is hosting a dance for special needs students.

Members of the community along with school officials are putting on a Homecoming Dance for not only students but also alumni who can attend as well.

“It is something current and former students look forward to all year long,” said Sandy Riesgraf Director of Communications for Jordan School District in a press release.

According to the release, this year Taylor Andrews Academy in West Jordan will treat students to free hair design and make-up in the morning prior to the dance.

The dance will be complete with live music from their teachers, with the theme being “The Sky’s the Limit” because at South Valley School, “Students with special needs are reminded every day that the sky is indeed the limit in their education and beyond,” said Riesgraf.
