SALT LAKE CITY — Universities across Utah will host General Election debates this October. Ahead of the mid term elections, The Utah Debate Commission has determined who qualifies for debate, including an announcement that a candidate have at least a 10% polling rate to participate.

Utah’s Congressional Districts 2 and 4 will feature debates between three candidates.

District two’s race will include incumbent Congressman Chris Stewart, along with Democrat Nick Mitchell and the Constitution Party’s Cassie Easley.

In congressional district 4, incumbent Republican Congressman Burgess Owens will debate Democrat Darlene McDonald and United Utah Party’s January Walker.

Senator Mike Lee and Evan McMullin will also debate. In mid-September, polling puts them just 11% apart according to a poll by the Utah Debate Commission.
