SALT LAKE CITY  —  A study done by YACSS, found that Utah is the eighth most AI-obsessed state in the U.S.  The study determined each state’s level of obsession by studying Google searches.

AI has a big role to play at many companies along the Wasatch Front,” said Dallin Hatch, the head of global communications for Pattern. Hatch said that we are likely to see more tech companies popping up in Utah over the next 12 months.

Pattern is one of many local tech companies that call Utah home. In over 60 countries it has deployed AI by utilizing it to adjust keywords automatically. This way they can better match what people are searching for on target sites.

There are over 8,200 tech companies in Utah, according to an article in Deseret News. This could be the main reason for Utah having such a high rating for AI searches. Additionally, Utah has one of the highest numbers of tech employees per capita.

“The Beehive State is an engine of technology innovation,” said Hatch.

He went on to say that AI is one of the “hottest technology innovations of the past several years.”

Overall, with so many techies in this state, it is clear to see why rank so high on the obsessive scale. As such we are sure to see an increase in AI use in our daily lives.
