2 children struck by a car Saturday night in Taylorsville

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — Authorities in Taylorsville are investigating an auto-pedestrian accident Saturday evening that sent two children to the hospital.
According to Chief Brady Cottan of the Taylorsville Police Department, the incident happened around 7 p.m. The children, in a group of four, were in the crosswalk at 6200 South 2700 West when two of them were struck by a vehicle.
The victims have been taken to an area hospital in extreme critical condition and critical condition. A third individual suffered minor injuries.
The victims, according to Taylorsville police, are in their early teens.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing. However, the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with authorities.
