SARATOGA SPRINGS — Two people were seriously injured when their motorcycle hit another vehicle on Redwood Road in Saratoga Springs Saturday. An official said neither was wearing a helmet.
Jeantei Livingston, public information officer for Lehi, said the accident occurred at 3:37 p.m. She said traffic had stopped in the area of Redwood Road and Cold Springs Drive, and a motorcycle carrying two people did not stop in time, crashing into the back of a car.
The male driver of the motorcycle and a female passenger both sustained serious injuries, but both were expected to survive, Livingston said. The driver of the car was also taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Capt. Lennon Flack with the Lehi Fire Department said both people on the motorcycle were thrown in the crash. He said both sustained serious injuries to their legs, and the female passenger received “significant head trauma.”
Flack said neither was wearing a helmet.
Saratoga Springs Police and fire crews responded to the crash, along with the Lehi Fire Department.
