SALT LAKE CITY — A man’s body was found in the desert on Thursday, according to the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office.

The body was discovered near Silver Island Loop, the sheriff’s office said.

Investigators could not confirm the identity of the man right away and deferred to the results of Utah’s Office of the Medical Examiner.

No further information was immediately provided.
