Willard bomb threat resolved, person of interest identified

SALT LAKE CITY — Willard police announced the scene was safe after responding to a bomb threat Monday afternoon at the Willard Flying J Travel Center.
According to police, the manager of the Flying J Travel Center called 911 to report the bomb threat at their location around 12 p.m.
The building was evacuated for two hours while police searched it. The scene was declared safe around 2 p.m. Monday afternoon, with the building cleared to return to business as normal.
Police said they had a person of interest identified and have been in contact with the individual, but did not say if the person had been taken into custody.
There is no threat to the public or public buildings at this time, according to police.
