SALT LAKE CITY — Brian Head Resort plans to open on Nov. 7 for the 2025-2026 ski season.
Currently, the southern Utah resort has the earliest projected opening date in the state. Earlier this week, Solitude lift tickets went on sale with the earliest date available being Nov. 14.
It should be noted that opening dates can still change due to weather conditions and snow availability.
What’s coming to Brian Head Resort this season?
The resort said it has invested over $1.4 million in improvements, which range from new rental equipment to upgraded snowmaking technology.
Notably, new snowmaking technology in the Navajo Mountain area will enable beginner and intermediate terrain to open earlier.
Improvements to the Bypass Terrain Park — including new jump lines and freestyle features — were also noted in the pre-season press release.
Jump lines are terrain bumps that often get progressively bigger. They enable skiers and snowboarders to execute aerial tricks.

The resort bills itself as the state’s most affordable with lift tickets for the 2025-2026 season starting at $14. A press release said the price has decreased 26% from last year.
“Our expanded dynamic pricing model helps make that experience more accessible, with affordable lift tickets and free skiing for kids 12 and under,” Amber Palmer, the resort marketing manager said.
Brian Head said it hopes to offer 184 days of skiing this season.
