Fatal crash in Wasatch County leaves one dead

WASATCH COUNTY, Utah — A crash on U.S. 40 left one dead near Strawberry Reservoir on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cam Roden, the collision was head-on.
A press release from the Department of Safety said a Toyota Camry crossed from the westbound lanes to the eastbound lanes, hitting a Yukon. The DPS noted that the roads were slushy and covered in snow at the time of the crash.
The driver of the Toyota, a 20-year-old woman, died at the scene.
The Yukon had six passengers, some of whom were children. Some of the children in the Yukon were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Authorities closed U.S. 40 for several hours for clean up. All lanes are now open.
