ALTA — Search and rescue was called after a hiker reportedly fell on Mt. Superior in Little Cottonwood Canyon Friday morning.
Detective Arlan Bennett with the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office said an approximately 30-year-old man fell and had lacerations on his head and face.
He said authorities received the call just before 11 a.m. A Department of Public Safety helicopter responded for rescue, along with the Alta Marshall’s Office. Crews were able to get the man off the mountain, and he was taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance in stable condition.
Crews were still on the mountain working to get two other people down just before 1 p.m., Bennett said.
