Man dies in ATV crash at St. Anthony Sand Dunes

SALT LAKE CITY — A man died Sunday afternoon after crashing his ATV at St. Anthony Sand Dunes, according to the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office.
Chief Deputy Cody Gudmunson said the man drove his ATV over the top of a dune and landed hard at the bottom.
Gudmunson said the man wasn’t wearing a helmet or harness when he hit the bottom, and died on impact.
Officials said that alcohol might have been a factor in the accident.
Fremont County, Idaho Coroner Brenda Dye confirmed that the victim was Kenneth Spomer of Corrine, Utah.
A Facebook post from the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office said that Fremont County Deputies, Fremont County EMS, and Air Idaho Rescue responded to the call.
In the post, officials reminded the public to “remember your flag, your helmet, to check over every razorback or hill, and always ride sober.”
