OGDEN, Utah — Two people have died after being involved in a vehicle crash on Saturday in Ogden Canyon.

Lifetime Products has identified one of the fatalities in a press release as CEO and President, Richard David Hendrickson. Lifetime identified one of Hendrickson’s daughters, Sally, as the other fatality in the crash.

“Richard started as a welder and progressed through multiple levels of the company to become President and CEO due to his extraordinary talents and abilities,” Barry Mower, Founder of Lifetime Products said in the press release. “He was one of my most trusted and cherished friends and will be sorely missed. Lifetime will not be the same without him. My love and heartfelt sympathy go out to his dear family.”

Utah Governor Spencer Cox offered his condolences to Hendrickson’s family on his X page.

Utah Senator Mike Lee also shared his condolences on the X app.

Corporal Jared Heywood with Utah Highway Patrol said a tow truck was traveling eastbound with a bulldozer strapped to the truck, when an SUV pulling a boat with Hendrickson and his family in the car hit the tow truck while heading westbound.

UHP said the straps holding the bulldozer onto the flat bed failed, and the bulldozer fell onto the SUV. Heywood said he was not sure if the straps broke or if they weren’t secured correctly.

Lifetime said Hendrickson’s wife and two of their other children were also involved in the crash, the three of them received non-life-threatening injuries. The press release also stated that another daughter was traveling overseas at the time of the crash and was not involved in the accident.

This story is developing and will be updated as more information becomes available.
