Pedestrian critically injured in Murray, police looking for driver

MURRAY — A pedestrian was hit by a truck while crossing a road in Murray late Thursday night. Police said the driver didn’t stop and hadn’t yet been located.
The Murray Police Department said the person was hit in the area of 4500 South and State Street at approximately 11 p.m. The department said an adult was crossing there when a dark colored truck, traveling east at a high rate of speed, hit them and continued in the same direction.
“The truck and the driver have yet to be located. Investigators are working to review surveillance footage in the area to help identify the suspect vehicle,” Murray PD said.
The victim was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. No more information about them was available.
Police believe the truck involved will have front-end damage. The department asked anybody with information to call 801-840-4000.
