SALT LAKE CITY — One man was arrested after a car chase in Sevier County that police say is related to a 12-year-old girl who was reported missing.

Lt. Mike Alexander with Utah Highway Patrol said a Ford F-150 that was involved in the car chase was reported to be connected to the missing girl, which is why police attempted to stop the truck on Tuesday around 6 p.m.

“A Richfield City police officer located that vehicle and attempted to stop it and the vehicle fled,” Alexander said. “And then a little while later, one of our troopers located that vehicle and attempted to stop it, and it fled from him as well.”

According to Alexander, police pursued the truck in an area near the town of Joseph where officers eventually stopped the vehicle using spike strips, after the driver turned around to head back towards Joseph.

“(The vehicle) entered an RV park type location and crashed through a fence,” Alexander said. “And then the occupants of the vehicle ran on foot away from the vehicle.”

Police said the missing girl was one of the occupants who ran from the truck. She was then located by a deputy who made sure she was found safe.

Officers were able to arrest the suspect, who was allegedly driving the truck carrying the missing girl.

A probable cause statement for the incident named the suspect as 20-year-old Aiden Dramore Larsen. The statement said he’s accused of a felony for failing to obey police and a misdemeanor for reckless endangerment.

“The subjects in the vehicle fled on foot before we were able to find the male subject hiding under a building by the river,” the statement said. “The 12-year-old female was also found and taken to receiving in Richfield.”

Sgt. Mike Alexander with the Utah Highway Patrol said the girl was reported as a runaway.

The investigation is ongoing, with Sevier County handling the case of the missing girl, and Sanpete County handling additional charges on the suspect involved with the case.
