Single-car accident near Tremonton claims one life

TREMONTON, Utah — A single-car accident Saturday morning near Tremonton claimed the life of one person.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 7:10 a.m. A 2004 Mercury Mountaineer was traveling southbound on I-15 near milepost 379. The vehicle exited the highway to the right.
As it left the road, the vehicle went down an embankment and rolled. The driver, who was the only occupant in the vehicle, died at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident.
The UHP is investigating impairment as a potential cause for the accident. Additionally, the identity of the victim has not been released.
