Wasatch Front’s most expensive areas include Huntsville, Alpine, Draper

SALT LAKE CITY — The Wasatch Front’s most expensive areas in the first quarter of 2022 were found near exclusive outdoor recreation sites, according to a Salt Lake Board of Realtors press release.

Huntsville (Weber County) tops the list, according to the press release, at a median price of $1.3 millions. Huntsville is near Pineview Reservoir, and a short drive from Snowbasin Resort. 

Second on the list is Alpine (Utah County) at $1.1 million. Draper (Salt Lake County) was third on the list at $932,500.

The top five most expensive areas are rounded out by The Avenues ($930,000) and Eden ($917,180).

According to the Salt Lake Board of Realtors, the cost of homes continued to soar by double-digit percentages during the first three months of the year. In Salt Lake County, the median single-family residence selling price increased to $585,000, which is up 27% from the first quarter of 2021. 

Utah County also saw home prices increase. Homes sold at $579,700, which is up 28% from the first three months of 2021. Davis County homes sold at a median price of $542,500, and that is up nearly 29% from a year ago. 

Multifamily housing

In regard to multifamily housing, prices increased to $432,250 in Salt Lake County. That’s an increase of 30.3% from the first three months of 2021. Utah County multifamily homes saw an increase of 37.4 %, with the median price coming in at $405,000. 

According to the press release, Davis, Tooele and Weber counties also saw an increase in the price of multifamily homes.
