Joe Biden tells Salt Lake City crowd he would have won the Dem nomination in 2016

Nov 7, 2017, 6:13 AM

Former vice president Joe Biden was in Salt Lake City Monday night, and he’s still being coy about a run for the White House in 2020.

Biden spoke at Abravanel Hall as part of the Wasatch Speaker Series.

He was asked whether he would run for president in three years, and the Tribune says he made the sign of the cross over his heart and laughed. But he did not rule it out entirely.

He also did not talk about the reports that former DNC chair Donna Brazile had considered replacing Hillary Clinton with him.

But Biden did suggest he could have won the nomination if he ran.

And he told the group that he wishes former Utah governor Jon Huntsman Jr was president instead of Donald Trump.

We want to hear from you.
