Bountiful police report two men wounded in early-morning drive-by

BOUNTIFUL, Utah — Two men were shot as they stood near the intersection of 1300 East and 400 North in Bountiful on Sunday morning according to Bountiful police.
Bountiful dispatch reported they received a 911 call from someone claiming that two male gunshot victims had come to his residence looking for help.
Officers responded and found two men in their 20s with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. They are being treated at local hospitals.
Visitors to a Bountiful-specific Facebook page commented that they heard multiple gunshots. Some wondered if they were hearing fireworks, instead.
The men reported that the shooting suspects fled the area in a vehicle. Police said they believe the suspects and victims are all residents of Salt Lake City, and that they knew each other.
Of interest to Bountiful police, in this case, is a silver Hyundai Sonata reportedly driven by a Black female who had a Black male passenger.
An investigation continues, and anybody with information is asked to contact Bountiful Police at 801-298-6000.
