Southbound I-15 backed up by three car crashes in Roy

ROY, Utah — Three car crashes on southbound I-15 in Roy had traffic backed up for a few hours Saturday afternoon.
According to Sgt. Cameron Roden of the Utah Highway Patrol, there were three accidents in the area of 5600 South in Roy near milepost 338. Eight vehicles were involved in the three accidents.
Sgt. Roden says only a motorcyclist was transported by ambulance with injuries. The motorcyclist is listed in fair condition.
The accidents occurred in a construction zone. And authorities say the investigation into the accidents is to ongoing.
All lanes of traffic were opened by 4 p.m. Saturday.
