One dead after bus and car crash on Mountain View Corridor

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah — A woman is dead after her car crashed into a school bus in South Jordan this afternoon.
This happened on the southbound Mountain View Corridor at 11400 S./Lake Ave.
“A white Honda CR-V traveling eastbound on Lake Avenue ran the red light at the intersection,” said South Jordan Police Lt. Matt Pennington. “They were t-boned by the school bus. Unfortunately, the 62-year-old driver was dead on the scene.”
The bus driver was not injured, and there were no children on the school bus at the time of the crash.
The southbound side of the road remains closed.
