Salt Lake City Police stop a 14-year-old driving the wrong way

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The SLCPD is investigating an incident that occurred Friday morning after stopping a 14-year-old driving the wrong way in downtown Salt Lake City.
The incident happened around 2:00 am near 500 South and 50 East, on a one-way street. When police pulled over the vehicle, they noticed a 14-year-old was driving the car with five other teens inside.
According to police, the van the teen is accused of driving had been reported as stolen. The owner of the vehicle has reported $6,000 dollars worth of property missing from the van.
Police say the investigation is still ongoing, the teen is now under the care of the Salt Lake Juvenile Detention.
