Trial date given to man who killed West Jordan teen in April

WEST JORDAN, Utah — The 50-year-old driver accused of hitting and killing a West Jordan teen, now has a trial date. Last April, 13-year-old, Eli Mitchell was killed in a hit and run.
Identified as Mason Ohms, the 50-year-old faces a number of charges including automobile homicide. Police say Ohms spent hours in a bar drinking before hitting the teen who was riding his bike near 1500 West and 9000 South.
The Mason Ohms trial will start with Jury selection on Dec. 7.
