2.5 earthquake reported in Magna

MAGNA, Utah — Seismologists say there was a 2.5 earthquake in Magna just before noon on Wednesday
KSL NewsRadio has gotten a couple of texts from people in the area saying they felt some shaking.
Did you feel the Magna earthquake?
The U.S. Geological Survey website lets people submit their own reports on how much they felt the earthquake. Using that information, the USGS created a map showing where the earthquake was felt and how intense it was.
At the time of publication, the responses showed that the earthquake was weakly or lightly felt by those in the area.

An echo of the 2020 earthquake
Wednesday’s earthquake comes three years after a 5.7 magnitude earthquake in Magna rocked northern Utah.
That earthquake caused millions of dollars in damages in Salt Lake County.
