WASHINGTON COUNTY, UTAH — A man was injured Wednesday a Sand Hollow State Park after an ATV rolled over him. He was then transported via Life Flight.

According to Darrell Cashin, head of Washington County Search and Rescue, the incident happened just north of Top of the World at Sand Hollow State Park.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Lacagnina said that the man told on scene medical crews that he was experiencing back and head pain. The medical crews decided that, due to the nature of the injury, Life Flight was needed.

Deputy Lacagnina also said that the injuries didn’t seem severe. Medical teams decided they were severe enough to be Life Flight transported from the park.
