SALT LAKE CITY — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced funeral plans on Tuesday for Elder M. Russell Ballard, the Acting President of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles. President Ballard died on Sunday at age 95.
According to the church, President Ballard’s services will be held Friday at the Tabernacle on Temple Square.
The service is from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The services at the Tabernacle are open to anyone over the age of eight, but the burial service following President Ballard’s funeral will be private.
The church said it would also stream President Ballard’s funeral in multiple languages on its website, one of its YouTube channels and BYUtv.
According to the church’s announcement, President Ballard’s family asked for donations to This Is The Place Heritage Park instead of flowers.
