Man hospitalized after trench collapse in Cedar Hills

CEDAR HILLS, Utah — A man was hospitalized on Tuesday after a trench collapse in Cedar Hills and trapped him for over an hour.
The man, a contractor, became trapped after digging a 10-foot deep trench to work on a sewer line. The trench collapsed, leaving him buried up to his neck.
His rescue took over an hour and a half to complete. He was eventually life-flighted to a hospital.
