One dead after drive-by shooting near Murray North TRAX station

MURRAY, Utah — One person has died after what police believe to be a drive-by shooting on Thursday night near the Murray North TRAX station at the intersection of Fireclay Avenue and Birkhill Blvd.
According to Murray Police Department spokesperson Kristin Reardon, three people were shot and transported to a hospital in “minor to life-threatening” condition after police responded to the scene at 7:08 p.m.
All three victims are males, 2 Juveniles and one adult male. One juvenile is still in the hospital, the other was treated and released.
After being transported from the North TRAX station to the hospital, the adult male victim was pronounced deceased, said Reardon.
According to Reardon, the shooting appears to be isolated incident between two groups.
Detectives were working to identity the victims Thursday night and interview witnesses in an active and ongoing investigation.
Reardon said the suspects were seen leaving the area in a white, four door, passenger car.
