SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake Bees are busy getting everything ready for next year’s season, and they have a lot of surprises in store for fans.
The new ballpark will open in April 2025 in Daybreak. Along with the new ballpark there will be some new dining options.
“Being a part of the entertainment district that we’re in, we’ll have other restaurants that will have a presence — like a retail presence — out there in Centerfield for people to come early and dine there in the setting of the ballpark,” said GM and Chief Revenue Officer of the Bees, Ty Wardle, .
Wardle said the food experience is important because they want people to enjoy a fun baseball game and good food all at the same time.

In addition to dining options, there will be places to shop nearby. Wardle said they will open a team store by the main gate, where people can buy merchandise.
“We’re partnering with some other clothing and brands in Utah — local brands — to make sure they have some shopping available out there.”
In addition, parking could be a lot easier.
“If fans have been to a game at Smith’s Ballpark in the last several years, we only control one parking lot and that’s to the north of our stadium,” Wardle said. “One of the big benefits of moving out to where we are [is] we’ll actually have more than 1,400 parking spots. So we feel strongly that the parking is actually going to be less expensive than it was at Smith’s Ballpark.”
Wardle also said they are working with transit authorities to make sure mass-transit options are in place as well. This will include a new TRAX stop opening in March 2025.
