Snow is on the way; time to change those tires

SALT LAKE CITY — The recent cold front which brought on some snow in Utah has a lot of people going into tire shops and getting their tires changed.

Price Potts with Burt Brothers Tire and Service said a lot of people have been putting off getting their tires changed because of the long warm spell. He said the weather is directly related to when people decide to get their tires changed.

“Once it snows it tends to get quite a bit busier,” Potts said.

Potts also said now is the perfect time for people to get their tires changed.

“The best time to [change your tires] is in November before it snows,” Potts said.

The National Weather Service has predicted snow to hit northern Utah late Friday and early Saturday. For those who don’t know if their tires need to be changed, Potts said to get those tires checked out at a local tire shop.
