An urgent update this morning in a Hepatitis A outbreak happening right here in Utah – customers of *MORE* locations told they need to contact the health department immediately.

Late Tuesday night the Utah County Health Department said customers may have been exposed at a Sonic drive-in at 971 North Main Street in Spanish Fork.

And at Olive Garden at 1092 North Canyon Creek Parkway, also in Spanish Fork.

The Utah County Health Department says customers who ate at or used the restroom at the Sonic on December 23rd or 24th, or the Olive Garden between December 21st and 30th are at risk.

If you were a customer during those windows, the health department is asking you to contact them at its website or 801-851-HEPA (4372) to see if you need to get a vaccine.

The health department says an infected employee was working at those restaurants at the time.

These warnings come after an outbreak we’ve been reporting on all week – the health department warning a West Jordan 7-eleven could have exposed thousands to hepatitis… more than 300 people have been already referred to get preventative vaccines in that incident so far.

The health department is warning symptoms don’t necessarily immediately show up… so if you’ve been to those locations it’s important to get checked or get a vaccine as soon as possible.

The department says the cases are linked to an ongoing outbreak in Utah since August.

It can take 15 to 50 days for symptoms of hepatitis A to show. They include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine, diarrhea, clay-colored stools and fatigue.

We want to hear from you.
