HOOPER, Utah — A single-engine plane crash Thursday afternoon in Hooper sent one person to the hospital.
The accident occurred at roughly 6300 West and 4800 South at 3:45 p.m. Two people – a male and female – were on board the plane, which is stored in their barn. Additionally, a runway extends from the barn.
“As he was coming back into land out there, he tried to miss a fence post or something and he stopped to0 soon and flipped the plane over,” said David Reed of the Weber Fire District.
The female passenger hit her head. She was transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
“I don’t think she was hurt too bad,” Reed said.
There was a small fuel leak from the plane, but no fire. There were also no other injuries.
