Woman dies in Ogden hospital after suffering gunshot wound to her chest

OGDEN — A woman has died after she was found with a gunshot wound in Ogden Wednesday evening, according to Ogden police.
Just after 9 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call near the 400 block of 800 North. There, they found the 40-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the left side of her chest.
Paramedics rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she later died. The woman’s name had not been released Thursday morning.
Witnesses provided responding detectives with information, police said, but it was not specified if anyone actually saw the shooting occur or if there were people there afterward. No suspects had been identified as of Thursday morning. The Ogden Police Department additionally said there did “not appear to be any danger to the public.”
