Cause of house fire in West Valley City under investigation

WEST VALLEY CITY — The West Valley City Fire Department is investigating a house fire that broke out on the afternoon of April 6.
In an X post, WVCFD responded to a structure fire near 6900 W. Arlene Bonnie Dr.
@WVCFD responded, with assistance from Unified Fire to a structure fire at 6935 W Arlene Bonnie Dr just before 2pm today. On arrival, heavy fire was observed at the house with 3 cars involved. The fire was quickly knocked down. Currently overhauling. pic.twitter.com/23oeADd15A

Upon arrival, the WVCFD said three cars had burned in the driveway, but the fire was quickly knocked out.
WVCFD Chief Sean Hoffman said the residents were able to evacuate. Their puppy died in the fire.
Magna Fire Department and Unified Fire assisted in putting out the fire, according to Hoffman.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
