DANIELS SUMMIT — Wasatch County Hazmat was called Tuesday morning after a semitruck crashed into a river, according to Utah Highway Patrol.
Lt. Cam Roden said a semitruck hauling double belly dump trailers went off the road and into the river near mile marker 32 on state Route 40.
The dump trailers were empty, but the truck was leaking fuel into the river, according to Roden.
Tyler Harvey from Central Utah Water Conservancy District said booms were deployed in the water as a precaution to catch any diesel fuel.
After a few hours of monitoring the water, Harvey said no fuel was detected in the water.
The driver of the semitruck obtained no injuries, according to UHP.
