Garage fire in West Valley City under investigation

WEST VALLEY CITY — A fire that started Sunday afternoon in a West Valley City garage is under investigation, according to the West Valley City Fire Department.
In an X post from the WVCFD, the garage fire occurred near 3310 W. and Montrone Drive.

Crews were able to put out the fire without anybody being harmed, according to the WVCFD.
The Public Information Officer with the WVCFD said the house is not considered uninhabitable.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but the WVCFD thinks “wind may have potentially been a factor in the fire size.”
“As a reminder, in high wind conditions be careful with your ignition sources,” the post stated.
