The new ‘simplified’ and ‘streamline’ way to guaranteed college admission

SALT LAKE CITY — On Friday the Utah System of Higher Education launched a program for students called ‘Admit Utah’.
According to a press release from the Utah System of Higher Education, the program is Utah’s first simplified and guaranteed admissions initiative.
The three main parts of the program include guaranteed college admission, guidance for undecided students and integration with K-12.
The Utah System of Higher Education also states that high school students in Utah will now through Admit Utah receive a notification of their guaranteed admission.
Cydni Tetro, a Utah Board of Higher Education member told Dave and Dujanovic that students have been able to attend these universities but they just didn’t know.
“This is now the simplified way for our students to know that they have guaranteed college admissions,” said Tetro.
Tetro also says many students, especially those undecided about college, don’t fully realize their options.
“[They] don’t realize it’s so accessible for them and that we can also help them with the affordability. And what all the data tells us is that if you can go on from high school and do any part of college or trade certificates or additional learning it’ll help you for the rest of your life.”
Students, parents and teachers can use AdmitUtah.org to help with college applications and give seniors real-time updates on their admissions.
