“Mrs Blake is the very definition of “above and beyond”. My student has struggled with emotional and behavioral issues this year, and Mrs Blake has worked tirelessly to help him learn to manage these special challenges. She has brainstormed methods to use with him, implemented a daily tracker so we know how each day goes at school, and celebrates his successes with us. While most teachers might take the “punish-the-offenses” road with a challenging student, Mrs Blake has sought to discover the source of the issues, and because of her understanding approach, my son’s behavior has greatly improved. I know he is a better student and that he will be much better prepared for transitioning to junior high thanks to her.”

“Not only does she help students individually, she makes her lessons engaging for her entire class. She’s brought in animals, shown pumpkins rotting, and shares silly stories about her own life that the students love and connect with. She stays in contact with all parents weekly about what the students are learning, and always comments on the positive efforts shown by all students. I am truly grateful to have her in my student’s life, and Utah is lucky to have her work in our schools.”
